Anna won the 1st Prize and Special Prize at the Kyiv International Competition 2019. At the Final round she performed the 1st Piano Competition from Tschaikovsky with the National Symphonic Orchestra of Ukraine.


Anna Pavlova was born in the rural city Penza, Russia in 1989. At the age of four she received her first private piano lessons, went on to study at the Penza Music School (G.S. Grossman) in 1994 and commerced to study with G.A. Grossman at the Penza Music College in 2004. Thereafter Anna Pavlova continued to study at the Saratov State Conservatory L. V. Sobinov in the class of Prof. L. I. Shugom, where she graduated with distinction in 2013. After a short stint as a piano teacher at the Saratov State Conservatory she moved to Austria to study at the Anton Bruckner Private University with Prof. Oleg Marshev, where she graduated in 2016. Her artistic formation was also influenced greatly in masterclasses by M. Korstick and other renowned musicians such as G. Borisov, E. Kupie, S. Möller, W. Nabore, N. Petrow, S. Pochekun A. Mamriev and M. Voskresensky.

Besides her constant solo appearances on stages in Europe, Anna currently teaches piano in music schools in Vienna and finishes the master in education at the Anton Bruckner Private University.

As soloist and member of chamber music ensembles Anna Pavlova performed in Armenia, Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Ukraine and the United States, where she debuted with a recital at the Carnegie Hall in New York in 2015. Also she performed with symphony orchestra headed by A. Ivanov (Moscow, Russia), E. Serov (Volgograd, Russia), V. Ponkin (Krasnodar, Russia), I. Kazhdan (Simferopol, Ukraine), O. Balan (Cantu, Italy) and F. Krager (USA).



Since her first victory at the International Young Pianist Piano Competition in Gelendzhik (Russia) 1998 at the age of 8, Anna Pavlova has garnered awards and honors from many important piano competitions throughout the world. Her latest achievement is the 1st Prize at the KYIV International Piano Competition 2019. Anna Pavlova is also a laureate of prestigious competitions, such as:

  • Special Prize at the XXX IPC «Ettore Pozzoli» (Seregno, Italy 2017)

  • 3rd Prize at the IX IPC «Rosario Marciano» (Vienna, Austria, 2017)

  • 1st Prize at the II. «Krystian Tkaczewski» International Piano Competition (Busko-Zdroj, Poland, 2017)

  • Honourable Mention at the XII «Carl Filtsch» International Piano Competition (Sibiu, Romania, 2017)

  • 3rd Prize at the VII. International Piano Talents Competition Milan (Italy, 2017)

  • Winner of the Caraglio Piano Competition in the Artist Category (Italy, 2016)

  • Winner of the Debut International Piano Competition New York (USA, 2015)

  • Finalist and recipient of the Special Prize at the ХI International Piano Competition «Princesse Lalla Meryem» (Rabat, Morocco 2014)

  • Finalist and recipient of the Special Prize at the VI International Piano Competition «Rosario Marciano» (Vienna, Austria, 2014)

  • 4th Prize at the III International Piano Competition Troisdorf (Germany, 2014)

  • Honourable Mention at the Fourth Independent International Competition for Vocalists and Pianists (Moscow, Russia, 2012)

  • Winner, as part of a piano quintet, of the Second Open All-Russian festival-competition for chamber ensembles “Musical vernissage” (Muzyikalnyiy vernisazh) (Penza, Russia 2012)

  • 2nd Prize at the International Piano Competition «Balakirev» (Krasnodar, Russia, 2010) 

  • Bronze Medal at the 9th Youth Delphic Games of the CIS Member States (Erevan, Armenia, 2010)

  • Grand Prize at the International Piano Competition «Sinyaya ptitsa» (The Blue Bird) (Yalta, Ukraine 2010)

  • Honourable Mention at the Piano Competition named after Ippolitov-Ivanov “Young Talents of Russia” (Moscow, Russia, 2009)
